About the Swap for Good Founders
Swap for Good was founded by friends (and San Francisco neighbors) Orli Cotel and Brianna Cayo Cotter. Brianna and Orli are feminists from birth and environmental communications strategists by day. They both love a good clothing swap and are deeply concerned about the current state of domestic violence.
Orli Cotel has been working in the non-profit world for 8 years, most recently as the Deputy Communications Director for the Sierra Club, where she is also the host of the nationally syndicated Sierra Club Radio show. She has been organizing clothing swaps with her friends for the past four years, and is thrilled to be combining her passion for social justice with her love of a good bargain.
Brianna Cayo Cotter cut her activist teeth in Washington, DC as a high school student organizing young people to stop gender-based violence. Since then she has worked at My Sister’s Place, founded Bike for Democracy, and has spent the last five years running communications for international environmental and human rights organizations like Rainforest Action Network, Avaaz, and Energy Action Coalition. Her favorite things to swap are dresses and books!
